Journey and Education
I was inspired by the health industry at a young age. Born and raised in England, I had boundless energy and enthusiasm for life from day 1. After being diagnosed with ADHD and having complications with standard medicine, I began running before school and turned to a holistic diet to manage my symptoms. I began working at an athletic training center in high school where my passion for strength, power and plyometric training developed. I became a NASM CPT and started working as a personal trainer.
While getting my bachelors in biology and psychology from University of Denver, I became passionate about hiking 14ers, mountain biking, rock climbing, skiing and all things with outdoor adventure. Before moving to Connecticut for graduate school I took my first road bike ride up Mt. Evans, a 14,000ft mountain. This started my passion for road cycling, which was good cross training for my competitive running goals.
After a move to the east coast to pursue my masters in exercise science, I was introduced to triathlon. Outside of sport, I enjoy being in nature, meditating, reading and spending time laughing with family and friends.
